Spring is upon us here in western North Carolina! Snow and ice are melting, brooks are babbling, and the temperature is consistently warmer. (Luckily, we haven’t been bombarded with pollen… yet!) I had been itching to create a few portraits and seized the opportunity as soon as I could.
I drove out to Trash Can Falls with a few new friends to explore and flex the photo muscle. Chase is a filmmaker and a solid friend– he coordinated a dinner with Emma, Mary, and Hailey and convinced them to come along to shoot with us. We had a grand time climbing over rocks and slipping in mud (maybe that was just me). Right before sunset we stopped at a beautifully aged barn– it quickly became the highlight of our evening. I love how the color and texture of the wood looked in the golden sunset light. We snagged some really awesome portraits of each other throughout the evening – check them out!
