The first national park that Hurst and I visited was White Sands in the southern part of New Mexico.

We arrived just 30 minutes before sunset. Luckily, it was late enough that the pay station was closed! That also meant that the visitor center and gift shop were closed, so I was unable to get a fridge magnet from our first major destination. Perhaps I’ll make a magnet out of one of these photos!
