Spooky Salem

I felt the leaves crunching under my feet, crisp like the afternoon breeze on my face. Above me were gangly branches, some still outfitted with brilliant oranges and reds. Calm and appreciation washed over me. I felt rejuvenated and empowered. If you have been following my Instagram at all, you know that I was in the Boston area last weekend visiting friends and family.

Endless Film

Sadly not Boston || 22 August 2016 I am finally settled into my new town! while sorting through all o fly wares, I found some undeveloped film from my last month or so in Boston. I got it developed at a local printmaking shop and am super pleased with the results. As I have mentioned before, both in previous blog posts and on my

Final Boston Projects

Not Massachusetts || 11 August 2016 Last week was a big one for me! I left my 9-5 in Boston along with lots of friends and loved ones in pursuit of my undergraduate degree in my hometown of Raleigh, North Carolina. It was a huge step for me– I have networked and grown as a photographer in the Bay State, but something deep inside

Brianna

Beacon Hill || 13 June 2016 Spring has quickly transitioned into summer weather here in Boston. Film Frenzy, Pt II

Boston, MA || 5 May 2016 I took my last day off from my 9-5 to visit New England School of Photography. While there, I developed some old rolls of film and made a few prints of my favorite exposures. I also took the last hour to scan some of me favorite negatives. I love film so much. As I’ve written before, I love

Autumn’s End

Boston || 19 November 2015 As the end of the fall season quickly approaches, I find myself scrambling to take as many photos as I can before the weather gets prohibitively cold. I’ve been out with a few friends lately, walking around the city, going to shows, and appreciating the last bits of color in the trees. Cambridge, Somerville, Allston, Brookline, Mission Hill, and

Berkshires

The Berkshires || 28 October 2015 I took a trip to the Berkshires in Western Massachusetts last weekend to catch the last few glimpses of the autumn foliage at its peak. I journeyed to the top of Mount Greylock to take an aerial look of the town of Adams. The houses, streets, and town square were all visible to me without turning my head–

Reflecting on the Present

Central Square, Lynn, MA || 27 October 2015 I have journeyed up the Newburyport/Rockport line quite a bit in the past few weeks, mostly to observe the spooky happenings in Salem in the days leading up to Halloween. One of the stops along the way is in the center of Lynn. The opportunity to explore the area has never presented itself, but I always
