Final Boston Projects

Not Massachusetts || 11 August 2016

Last week was a big one for me! I left my 9-5 in Boston along with lots of friends and loved ones in pursuit of my undergraduate degree in my hometown of Raleigh, North Carolina. It was a huge step for me– I have networked and grown as a photographer in the Bay State, but something deep inside me was telling me that it was time for a change. School is starting back up in less than a week!

My first few days in Raleigh were full of spare time, so I finished up some projects from the past month or so. I completed some retouching on Edgar’s head shots, culled photos I took of Rebecca in LA, and gave some last touches to some portraits of Leighanne. Go check out my friends’ websites, they are all very talented at what they do and it was a pleasure to photograph them!

It’s not blatantly obvious from the light, but Edgar’s was a sunrise shoot. We beat the sun to Boston’s South End and shot all around– the ICA, a chapel, and a parking garage. Edgar is a local film actor who can’t wait to make his way to New York City in the coming years.

Rebecca Engelhardt sits for an innocent black and white portrait in Elysian Park, Los Angeles.

Ah, Rebecca, my sweet Los Angeles princess. Rebecca showed us around her favorite park (where parts of 500 Days of Summer were filmed!!!) and flawlessly posed for the camera. She also brought us to a delicious taco spot!

Leighanne is my photographer soulmate, currently servicing as the Creative Director at her friends’ business in Grand Rapids, MI. This photo was taken in Lake Willoughby, in Burke, Vermont.
